LaSER MISSION
To facilitate a modern, dynamic, sustainable air-minded youth organisation of choice that offers fun, developmental and challenging opportunities.
LaSER OBJECTIVES
*To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
*To provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life.
*To foster the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
LaSER welcomes all!
Ethos, Core Values and Standards (We call it “ACP-1”)
The ethos of the LaSER is sustained by all personnel doing their duty with an implacable will to succeed. Teamwork, success and effective leadership flourish in an environment of mutual trust and respect.
In this context, we all have a responsibility to our colleagues, be they subordinates or superiors, to do our best to uphold our ethos and embrace the Core Values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence.
This is a reflection of LaSER’s unique role in helping to prepare the young people of the region for taking and accepting their place in society and, in doing so, portrays the training and development they have received whilst serving in the LaSER.
Pastoral Care
The spiritual needs of the air cadets and volunteer staff is provided for by the hard work and dedication of chaplains throughout the LaSER. Chaplains have the privilege of working with a generation that is so often absent from churches and other places of worship. The vision of the Chaplaincy Branch of the LaSER is to:
To represent the Kingdom of God and its values, to meet the pastoral, spiritual and moral needs of the ACO and to enable that body to practice its various faiths.
